2008 Physician Assistant of the Year
RAYMOND "JACK" CYMMERMAN, PA

Mr. Cymmerman has served as a role model and health care provider for the New York State community for many years. Jack is presently Chief Physician Assistant of the ER and Trauma unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.

2008 Physician of the Year
BERNARD J. POIESZ, MD

Dr. Poiesz is the Director of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SUNY HSC has been selected as the 2008 RPACNY Physician of the Year for his leadership and dedication which resulted in greater educational opportunities and increased participation and practice opportunities for physician assistants and physician assistant students. 

2008 Physician Assistant Educator of the Year
LINDA ALLISON, MD, MPH
Dr. Allison has been serving as Director of the PA Program at LeMoyne College, Syracuse.  Dr. Allison has provided dedicated service, direction and education for the LeMoyne PA program and has encouraged the development of multi-cultural attitudes and practice in medicine.

Please join us in congratulating these health care professionals on their achievement.  All of these selected winners will be submitted for consideration of awards at the state level through the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, which will hold its awards ceremony at their annual conference in the fall at Saratoga Springs, NY

Additionally, a reception to honor these deserving professionals is being planned for the Fall by RPACNY.

NYSSPA
reaches out annually in
its major annual marketing
campaign to educate the
public about PAs and the physician assistant profession.
Now is the time to show your pride in your profession by becoming a volunteer at the NYSSPA booth.  We offer four hour shifts from 10 AM to 10 PM from Thursday, Aug. 21 to Monday, September 1st.
