Interim President
Melissa
Giufre,
RPA-C
Melissa received
her Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from King’s College,
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 2001. While there, she served as president
of her physician assistant class. Upon graduation, she worked for Oswego
Hospital until starting employment with CNY Family Care,
East Syracuse in
2005. Melissa is a member of AAPA and NYSPPA. She may be contacted at

Interim Vice President
Tom Brown,
RPA-C
Tom graduated from the Arcadia PA program
in 1999 and is now working in Pretesting at University Hospital in
Syracuse, NY. He lives in Truxton, NY in Cortland county. He
lives with his wife, Lydia, and has two children, Aidan and Amberle. Tom
enjoys snowboarding, BMX, mountain biking and motocross in his free time.

Interim District Director/Webmaster
Diane Stadtmiller, MA, CIW, RMT, RPA-C
A graduate
of the SUNY Stony Brook PA program in 1989,
Diane has worked clinically in otolarygology, occupational medicine, and as a house officer for a
community hospital.
She has been very active in PA education for
many years,
having served as the first Academic Coordinator for both the
Catholic Medical Center and Daemen College PA programs. Diane now
owns her own business in Syracuse, Sante' Meducation, which provides a
variety of multi-media services for medical professionals and patient
education. Diane has
had many years of experience serving the PA profession in a variety of
roles including developing the original website for NYSSPA and was publisher
of NYSSPA News. She also developed the website and newsletter for the Rochester Regional PA
Association (RRPAA) and now has redesigned the website for RPACNY. In addition, she has
served as President of both NYSSPA and RRPAA. You may email her at

Elle Abel, MS, RPA-C
Elle Abel
has worked as a physician assistant in Syracuse since 1989 after
graduating from the Stony Brook LI PA program. Presently working for SUNY
Upstate Medical University in the Department of Medicine, Division of
Hematology/ Oncology, she has recently completed studies for her masters
degree in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling. Her research interests
include "Increasing Knowledge and Advocating for the Person with
Disabilities including veterans and others, and the Biomedical Ethical
Decisions affecting our practice choices". Elle and associates have
maintained the NY State FAIR NYSSPA booth on behalf of NYSSPA and all NY
PAs for many years. This is the biggest NYSSPA Public Education endeavor
in the state. Elle is presently serving as District B Director for NYSSPA.
She is continuing to serve as a liaison to the RPACNY regional group.
